‘Nocturne for a Swimmer'

While Courtney is known for her pop-culture parodies, she also enjoys painting her own original concepts. In her Whimsy Collection, Nocturne for a Swimmer is her favorite from the collection. Oddly, the lily pads were the most difficult to paint whereas the frog emerged in a matter of minutes. The floating gnome looks so relaxed he could be asleep. Courtney's goal was to create a midnight scene of tranquility where a gnome could swim in peace.

Nocturne for a Swimmer features a cute little gnome floating or swimming amidst lily pads while a frog observes. Creating a scene of peace and calm was the goal.
