This original parody features an altered and enhanced vintage paint-by-number painting starring Harry Potter and the golden snitch.
The Process:
As if thrift shopping wasn't fun enough, I search all over Oregon for old, unwanted art that is in need of some TLC. Some paintings speak to me and I know immediately what I would like to add whereas some paintings I'm drawn to with no ideas in mind. Either way, when I fall in love with a painting I take it home and give it the attention it deserves. I clean and repair the frames and hardware ensuring it will be in great shape for years to come. Then I set to work studying the style and techniques and parody it with pop culture additions. All additions are hand painted with acrylic paint.
The Details:
-As always, shipping is FREE on original paintings
-This painting is medium/large in size. The art itself measures 13x19 inches. With the frame it measures 24x31 inches.
-The frame is vintage and from a thrift store. While I do everything I can to repair these beautiful old frames, it does come in as-in condition. There is some slight staining on the white canvas border of the frame. Please remember that this is vintage and not new. Details can be seen in the images. If you would like more images please feel free to ask.
-As this is thrift art, the painting comes in as-is condition. Please see images for imperfections. If you would like more images, please let me know. I'm happy to provide more.
-New hardware and backing have been applied, making it ready to hang in your home.
